The world’s first rare earth permanent magnet maglev rail transit engineering test line is completed!

On the morning of August 9, 2022, the “Xingguo” permanent magnet maglev skyrail train drove out of Yongfeng Station in Xingguo County, marking the successful completion of the world’s first permanent magnet maglev rail transit engineering test line-“Red Track” in Xingguo County, Ganzhou City.

The test line built this time starts from Yongfeng Station (Xingguo West Station of High-speed Railway) in the south, is laid along the green belt on the east side of the avenue in front of the station, and ends at the static adjustment depot in the north. The main line of the line is about 800 meters long, all of which are steel structure elevated lines.

The maglev train adopts a 2-car formation, with a passenger capacity of 32 seats and a capacity of 88 people, and a maximum design operating speed of 80 kilometers. The test line is known as the “Red Track” because it is located in Xingguo County, an old revolutionary base.

The “Red Track” is the world’s first permanent magnet maglev rail transit system engineering test line built so far. The completion of the test line marks the birth of a safe, convenient and efficient new standard rail transit system with medium and low speeds and medium and low traffic volumes.
